Chapman . A chapman is a trader, the word being still used in some places for a travelling merchant. It occurs in 2 Chronicles 9:14 Av [Note: Authorized Version.] and Bv, and also in 1 Kings 10:15 Rv [Note: Revised Version.] . The Amer. Rv [Note: Revised Version.] has ‘trader’ in both places.
