Barbara Bevan [1]
a Welsh minister of the Society of Friends, was born in Trevrygg in 1682. She was converted at the age of sixteen, and soon after joined the Church and received a call to the ministry. She now devoted herself most zealously to her work in West Jersey, and some parts of East Jersey, where her. labors. were well received. For a time she was her father's companion in Christian work in Wales, travelling in 1704 about six hundred miles in the performance of his ministerial duties.
