Jacob Bell [1]
an English minister of the Society of Friends, was born in London, April 17, 1737 (O.S.), where he resided the most of his life. He became a Christian in early life, and his" first appearance in public testimony" was in 1774, when he was about thirty-seven years of age. In the discharge of his ministerial: duties, he visited most of the meetings in Great Britain, also those in the Isles of Wight, Guernsey, and Jersey.
