Smith's Bible Dictionary [1]

She'bam. (Fragrance). One of the towns, in the pastoral district on the east of Jordan; demanded by, and finally ceded to, the tribes of Reuben and Gad.  Numbers 32:3. It is probably the same as Shibmah ,  Numbers 32:38, and Sibmah .  Joshua 13:13;  Isaiah 16:8-9;  Jeremiah 48:32. See Shibmah; Sibmah .
