He afterwards enter the order and applied himself to the study of Hebrew, Greek, and ecclesiastical history. He finally went to Rome as reviser of the ancient languages, and there became a noted authority on the antiquities of the Middle Ages, a subject on which he wrote several works. He also edited the Opera, Omnia of [[Jerome]] (Verona, 1734, 12 vols. fol.), and those of Tyrannus. Rufinus (ibid. 1745, 4to). He died at Verona, Aug. 14,1771. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog.
