In 1835 he was appointed second preacher at Hof, and in 1843 be was called to his native place as third preacher of St. AEgidius's, as which he labored for thirty-three years. He died Feb. 9,1876. Besides sermons and a catechetical manual, he published Die protestantischen Missionen und deren gesegnetes Wirken (Hof, 1844-50, 3 pts.), giving a history of the Protestant [[Missions]] till the first half of this century.
