His ministerial labors were confined to [[Liberty]] and the immediate counties. In 1806 he was elected -president of Mt. Enon College, where he remained- and taught probably two years. His only publications are two sermons. In 1802 a painful disease began to develop itself in one of his eyes. He continued to prosecute his labors until 1821.
