( Ε᾿Λισαῖος or Ε᾿Λισσαῖος ), the Graecized form of the name of ELISHA (See Elisha) (q.v.) in the N.T. ( Luke 4:27) and Apocrypha ( Ε᾿Λισαιέ ,  Sirach 48:12), as well as Josephus (Ant. 8:13, 7 etc.).
