From that year to 1853 he was rector of Trinity Church, in Southport; until 1855 of St. Andrew's Church, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; in 1859 of [[Christ]] Church, Pelham, N.Y., where he remained until 1862, when he removed to New York city, as rector of the Free [[Church]] of St. Matthias.
