Nathaniel Ellsworth Cornwall [1]
a Protestant Episcopal clergyman, was born at Granby, Connecticut, February 6, 1812. He graduated from Trinity College, Hartford, in 1831, and from the General Theological Seminary in 1834. From that year to 1853 he was rector of Trinity Church, in Southport; until 1855 of St. Andrew's Church, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; in 1859 of Christ Church, Pelham, N.Y., where he remained until 1862, when he removed to New York city, as rector of the Free Church of St. Matthias.
