Correctores Romani [1]
a congregation of cardinals and Roman theologians of thirty-five members, appointed by pope Pius V to revise the decretum Gratiani (see Corpus juris Canonici). Among the five cardinals who belonged to the college was Hugo Boncompagnus (subsequently pope Gregory XIII).
