He was converted in 1805; removed to New York city, and in 1812 entered the New York Conference, in which he labored faithfully until 1837, when he took a superannuated relation, and thus continued till his death, July 28, 1872. Mr. Clark was well read in theology, and a superior preacher. See Minutes of. Annual Conferences, 1873, p. 46. a Scotch clergyman, was appointed to the living at Ardrossan in 1691, and ordained, and died Nov. 20,1737. See [[Fasti]] Eccles. Scoticance, ii, 157. </p>
