After quitting this master he studied the works of [[Raffaelle]] and other great painters at Rome, after which he returned to [[Bologna]] and established that celebrated school where [[Albano]] [[Domenichino]] and Guido were first instructed. His finest picture is the St. [[Michael]] in San Petronio, at Bologna.
