In 1855 he was transferred to the [[Wisconsin]] Conference, and died near Janesville, January 24, 1857. Mr. [[Brown]] was true to his calling, indefatigable in labors, faithful in all his life-duties, a warm friend, and a devoted Christian. See Minutes of Annual Conferences, 1857, page 375. </p>

a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in 1809. He was converted in 1830, licensed to preach in 1838, and in 1842 entered the Erie Conference.
