After completing his course, Mr. Bickerdike preached as supply to various chapels in the country under the direction of the college trustees. He preached at [[Derby]] one year, a short time, at Faversham, and thirty years at Woolwich. In his seventy-fifth year he retired from public life, and spent the remainder of his days at Cheltenham.
