He studied at Helmstadt and after having acted as pastor at several places, in 1721 was appointed general superintendent at Hildesheim, and in 1726 for the same office at Osterroda. In 1735 he was deposed from his office, and had to leave the country. He died at Nordhausen, Feb. 22, 1743. He published Evangelische Glaubens-Lebens und Gewissenslehre.
