Domingo Banes [1]
a Spanish theologian, was born at Valladolid in 1527. He studied at Salamanca, entered the Order of the Preaching Friars, and taught theology at Avila, at Alcala de Henares, at Valladolid, and at Salamanca. He died at Medina del Campo, Nov. 1, 1604. — He wrote, De Generatione et Corruptione, sive in Aristotelis eosdem Libros Commentaria et Quaestiones (Salamanca, 1585; Cologne, 1614): — Relectio de Merito et Augmento Charitatis (Salamanca, 1590): — In Aristotelis Dialecticam: — Institutiones Minoris Dialecticce, hoc est Sumnulce (Cologne, 1618): — Commentaria Scholastica in Primam Partem Sumrmce S.
