He spent six years at Kingswood School. He was accepted for the ministry in 1861. In consequence of failing health, he undertook a voyage to the Mauritius. He became worse in the southern seas. died Jan. 2, 1880, and his body was committed to the deep. His imagination was vigorous, and his discourses were marked by freshness of thought and originality of style, while they were richly evangelical. In the pastorate he was faithful and sympathetic. son of the Rev. John Anderson, now of the British Conference, and grandson of the Rev. Henry Anderson (died 1843), was born at Oakham, Rutland, England, July 4, 1841. He spent six years at Kingswood School. He was accepted for the ministry in 1861. In consequence of failing health, he undertook a voyage to the Mauritius.
