He received his monastic institution under St.Lantbert, and became archbishop of [[Lyons]] in 678. At the request of St. Hilbert (q.v.) he wrote the Life of St. Ansbert, who ruled the monastery of St. Vaudrille from 678 to 695. The compilers of Gallia Christiana .(xi, 167) and modern authors attribute to Aigradus the fragment of the Life of St. Lantbert (or Lambert), edited as anonymous by Mabillon, Aeta Ord. Bened.
