Yet another suggestion, made by Lagarde, is that the <i> ''''' cŏrı̄ ''''' </i> = στύραξ , <i> ''''' stúrax ''''' </i> , and if so then "balm" would be the inspissated juice of the Storax-tree ( <i> Styrax officinalis </i> ), a common inhabitant of Gilead.
