Aho'ah. (Brotherly). Son of Bela, the son of Benjamin. 1 Chronicles 8:4. In 1 Chronicles 8:7, he is called Ahiah , or Ahijah . The patronymic, Ahohite , is found in 2 Samuel 23:9; 2 Samuel 23:28; 1 Chronicles 11:12; 1 Chronicles 11:29; 1 Chronicles 27:4.

(Hebrew Acho ’ ach, ‹חוֹח , ְ Brotherly; Sept. Ἀχιά v. r. Ἀχιήλ ), one of the sons of Bela, the son of Benjamin ( 1 Chronicles 8:4); called also AHIAH (See Ahiah) ( 1 Chronicles 8:7), and perhaps IRI (See Iri) ( 1 Chronicles 7:7). B.C. post 1856. It is probably he whose descendants are called AHOHITES (See Ahohites) ( 2 Samuel 23:9; 2 Samuel 23:28).
