<p> a Presbyterian minister, was born at Leetsdale, Pennsylvania, November 20, 1807. He graduated from Jefferson College, and in the first class at the Western Theological Seminary at Allegheny. He served with eminent ability as professor of languages in the Ohio University, and subsequently filled the same chair in his alma mater at Cannonsburg, Pennsylvania, being at the time a member of the [[Presbytery]] of Allegheny. He died at Leetsdale, December 31, 1878. (W.P.S.) </p>
