a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, was born in Pike County, O., Dec. 14, 1817. He united with the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1825; was licensed to preach July 10, 1841, and served for fourteen years as a local preacher. In 1865 he entered the regular ministry of the Christian Union Church, afterwards in connection with the Methodist Episcopal Church, South.
