<p> a Presbyterian minister, was born in Antrim County, near Belfast, Ireland, in 1825, where he received his early education. He studied theology at Paisley, Scotland, and was ordained and installed pastor of a Presbyterian church near [[Belfast]] in 1846. In 1850 he emigrated to America, and was stated supply for the [[Associate]] Reformed Presbyterian [[Church]] at Milton, Pa., where he labored for more than a year, and afterwards removed to [[Wisconsin]] as an Associate Reformed missionary. In 1854 he accepted a commission from the Americani Home Missionary Society, and became stated supply of the Presbyterian Church at Centerville, Ia. He died Aug. 13, 1859.
