Upon its division (1852) he fell into the [[Cincinnati]] Conference, and in 1860 received a superannuated relation. He died April 21, 1865. a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church, was born in New Jersey Sept. 5, 1787, and removed with his parents to Virginia, and in 1800 to Logan County, O. Of Quaker parentage, he united with the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1807, and in 1810 he was licensed to preach. He entered the Ohio Conference in September, 1813, and in 1819 was transferred to the Missouri Conference, where he served five years as presiding elder.
