In August 1805, he was sent to Aberdeen, where he supplied the pulpit five months. He then removed to [[Montrose]] for nine months, but. returned to Aberdeen, where he was ordained pastor in 1807. He went to [[Dundee]] in 1809, and became pastor of the [[Church]] then assembling in Sailor's Hall. In this charge he continued thirty-nine years, with great honor to all concerned. He died Sept. 23, 1848. Dr. Russell published, among other works.
