Stephen Samuel Roszell [1]
a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, was born at Philadelphia, October 29, 1812. He graduated early from Augusta College, Kentucky, taught in Baltimore, Maryland, became professor in Dickinson College, joined the Baltimore Conference in 1838, and continued one of its distinguished preachers until laid aside by infirmity.
