In the same year he was called to Morges as director of the college, and in 1828 succeeded Louis Henri Manuel as pastor of the French Reformed [[Church]] at Frankfort-on-the-Main. In 1834 he returned to Switzerland, and was in 1836 appointed professor of Biblical literature at Genoa. He died April 5, 1865.
