He entered the Genesee [[Conference]] in 1842 or 1843, and for twelve years successfully labored for the [[Christian]] cause. "He accomplished," says the record, "more for his sin-periled race and the glory of God than some men have in half a century." He died at Macedon Centre, N. Y., June 7, 1855. Gideon Osband [1]

a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church, was born near the opening of this century. Of his early history we have but little at our command. He entered the Genesee Conference in 1842 or 1843, and for twelve years successfully labored for the Christian cause. "He accomplished," says the record, "more for his sin-periled race and the glory of God than some men have in half a century." He died at Macedon Centre, N. Y., June 7, 1855.
