He was licensed by West [[Hanover]] Presbvtery in 1834, and in 1838 ordained and installed pastor over Hoe [[Creek]] and Morris churches, in [[Campbell]] County, Va. He died Sept. 15, 1867. Mr. McDearmon was a good and useful man, and an earnest apostle of temperance in his region. See Wilson, Presb. Hist. Almanac, 1868, p. 347. </p>
