William Lyford [1]
an English theologian and zealous Calvinist, was born in 1598 at Perpmere (Berkshire); graduated at Oxford; became a fellow of Magdalen College; entered the Church; became vicar of Sherborne, Dorsetshire, and spent the remainder of his life there. He died in 1653.
