a German theologian, was born at Cothen September 15, 1737, and was educated at the Universities of Halle and Frankfort-on-the-Oder. In 1759 he became tutor; in 1762, subrector of the German Reformed town-school of his native place; in 1776, pastor at Gnetsch, where he remained until 1813. He died at Cothen July 9, 1821.
