V.; or Kir-heres ( Kir-Hç'Res ), Jeremiah 48:31; Jeremiah 48:36; or simply Kir of Moab, Isaiah 15:1. A strong fortress in Moab, situated near the southeastern shore of the Dead Sea. It is now called Kerak.
