He died at the last named place; November 23, 1874. As a preacher, Dr. [[Fisher]] stood for years in the foremost rank in his denomination, being fluent in speech, clear in statement, and tender in manner. He was for six years secretary of the [[Board]] of [[Domestic]] [[Missions]] for the eastern department, and published, [[Divine]] [[Providence]] Proved and Illustrated, in the National Preacher (1848).
