Dyed Attire [1]
stands in our version of Ezekiel 23:15, as a translation of טְבוּלַים (tebulim, usually regarded as from טָבִל , to Dip , and so to dye with colors; but Gesenius prefers the derivation from an Ethiopic verb signifying to wind or wrap around, and so giving the sense of), head bands or tiaras. The Sept. and Vulg. combine both significations ( Τιάραι Βαπταί , tiar). (See Paint).
