Edward Davies [1]

a Welsh Congregational minister, was born at Llanrhaiadr-y-Mochnant, May 1786. He was converted in youth; began his ministry in 1815, at Capel Helyg and Rhoslan; in 1822 became pastor of the churches at Penystryt and Maentwrog; relinquished his pastoral work in 1856, but continued to preach in different places till near his death, at Trawsfvnydd, January 5, 1872, See (Lond.)
