a Baptist minister, was born at Danvers, Massachusetts, in 1812. He graduated from Brown University in 1834, and from Union Theological Seminary in 1841; was ordained the same year, and settled at Newport, Ohio, until 1851; was pastor at Lebanon for several years, from 1852; in 1856 became agent for the Western Baptist Educational Society; and died in Cincinnati in 1857.
