a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born at Fort Covington, Franklin Co., N. Y., Nov. 28, 1809, was licensed to exhort in 1828, entered the Oneida Conference in 1830, was superannuated in 1834, went South for his health, and took a situation in an academy at Warrenton, Ga., still retaining his connection with the Church in the North. In 1837 he served for a time as professor of mathematics in Covington Manual Labor School, but his health soon failed. By medical advice he went to St. Augustine, Fla., where he died in great peace in May, 1839.
