He graduated from [[Brown]] University in 1808; was pastor at two different times in Pawtuxet, R.I., and for one year postmaster of the village. For two years he preached in Harwich, Massachusetts, and for about the same time at New Bedford; lived eight years in Abington, serving part of the time as pastor. His next pastorates, of two years each, were at Fisksville and Chepacket, both in Rhode Island. The last twenty-five years of his life were spent in his native place, and he died there, September 12, 1869. See Fuller, History of Harwtch, page 226. (J.C.S.) </p>
