an English divine, was born in Barbadoes in 1753. He was educated in England, first at Hipperholme, and afterwards at St. John's College, Cambridge; graduating in 1775, and soon after obtained one of Dr. Smith's prizes for his proficiency in mathematics and natural philosophy. In 1777 he obtained a prize for a dissertation in Latin prose.
