After preaching in various places for a time, he was ordained June 10, 1847, and until 1852 was pastor in Stowe, Mass. In 1854 he went to Menasha, Wis., as a home missionary, and remained until 1857, when he returned to New England, taking charge of the [[Church]] in Woonsocket, R.I., and preached there nine years. His health failing, in 1867, he returned to Stowe to reside upon his farm, and died August 27, 1871. For a short time he was editor of the [[Worcester]] Gazette. See Cong.
