He united with the [[Church]] in his native town, and having prepared himself for the ministry at the New [[Hampton]] Theological Institution, was ordained in 1837 pastor of the Second Church in Sanbornton, N.H., where he remained until 1843. He then returned to Connecticut, and finished his ministry in his native town. He died June 28, 1846. Mr. Congdon was a man of an excellent spirit, and much devoted to his work. (J.C.S.) </p>

He united with the Church in his native town, and having prepared himself for the ministry at the New Hampton Theological Institution, was ordained in 1837 pastor of the Second Church in Sanbornton, N.H., where he remained until 1843.
