William Thompson Clapp [1]
a Congregational minister, was born at Hudson, O., April 12, 1838. In the winter of 1853-4 he was converted; in 1857 graduated at the Western Reserve College, and in 1862 at Union Theological Seminary, N. Y. The next year he remained at home, in Hudson, studying, and preaching in the Presbyterian Church at Streetsborough. He was ordained pastor of the Congregational Church in Edinburg, O., in 1864, and died there March 18, 1865. He was a clear, earnest, and elegant preacher.
