He became rector of Portlemouth, in Devonshire, and affiliated with the [[Presbyterians]] of that section during the civil war. He became archdeacon-of Exeter, Aug. 18, 1662, but was ejected in. about two years after which, he retired to his rectory at Portlemouth, where he died, Sept. 19, 1688. His principal work was entitled Paleologia Chronicn, a chronological account of ancient time, in three parts: 1. Didactical; 2. Apodeictical; 3. Canonical (Lond. 1677).
