He was licensed by the New [[Brunswick]] [[Presbytery]] in the same year; became pastor of [[Bethel]] and the adjoining churches in Guilford County, N.C.; of Alamance Church, one of these, for over forty years, resigning in 1861; and died near Greensboro, N.C., Nov. 24,1865.
