He joined the [[Church]] in his boyhood; received his ministerial training at [[Hackney]] College; and, at the close of his college course, became co-pastor at Portsea. He commenced his ministry there in 1858; removed to [[Devonport]] in 1861, to [[Woolwich]] in 1869, and finally retired to Bexley Heath, and died, there, May 15, 1872. See (Lond.) Cong. an English Congregational minister, was born at Taiunton, July 5, 1831. He joined the Church in his boyhood; received his ministerial training at Hackney College; and, at the close of his college course, became co-pastor at Portsea.
