Christopher Callaway C. [1]
a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church South, was born in Lincoln County, Tenn., about 1821. He professed conversion in 1838, and in 1844 entered the Alabama Conference. In 1855 he was appointed agent of the Southern University; and died Aug. 11, 1867. Mr. Callaway had but few educational advantages when young, but attained marked mental and literary ability.
