Silvestro De Buoni [1]

an Italian historical painter, the son and scholar of Buono Buoni, was born at Naples about 1420, and studied also under Antonio Solario. Among his best works is the Assumption, in the Church of San Pietro Martyre; and the principal altar-piece in the Restituta, representing the Virgin and Infant, with Saints. He died in 1480.
