<p> a Congregational minister, was born at Alstead, N.H., September 12, 1810. He prepared for college at the Kimball Union Academy, and graduated from Dartmouth [[College]] in 1834. During the two following years he was a teacher at Nashua, and then attended theological lectures at New Haven, Conn. From 1838 to 1844 he was pastor of the [[Church]] at Hinsdale, N.H. During the three succeeding years he was principal of the New [[England]] Institute. New York city. In 1847 he received his medical i diploma from the New York University, and front 1851 until the close of his life he practiced medicine, for a time in New York, and afterwards in Hartford, Conn. He became president of the [[Connecticut]] Himoeopathic [[Society]] in 1865; and died in Chicago, Illinois, December 29, 1876. See Cong. Quarterly, 1877, page 411. </p>
