Cardinal, an English ecclesiastic, nephew of Nicholas Breakspear (pope Adrian IV), was probably a native of Hertfordshire. He was made a cardinal by that pope in December, 1155, and was cardinal priest of the following churches in Rome: Cosma and Damian, Crosses of Jerusalem, Prudentiana, and of Pastor.
