He was converted early in life, joined the Congregational Church, received his collegiate discipline at Huxton [[Academy]] and Highhury College, and was ordained to the pastorate at [[Leeds]] in 1828. On resigning his charge at Leeds, Mr. Bellamy preached successively at Clutton, Somersetshire, ten years; ten years at Sheffield; seventeen. years at Buckingham; and finally retired to Sheffield, where he died, Nov. 23, 1877.
